Cherry Creek Varsity Wins HPHL Championship

Cherry Creek Varsity wins the High Plains Hockey League Championship with a 7-0 Victory over Denver East.

The Bruins won the Semi Final Game 4-3 in Overtime on a Goal by Captain Austin Katz with Assists by Cooper Huang and Ari Gelfand.

Alex Messina got the Bruins rolling with their 1st Goal followed by a pair from Garrett Linville to take a 3-0 lead after period 1.

2nd period action saw Goal 4 from Shota Badasyan on a nifty set of passes from Alex Messina and Harry Frangiskakis.

Bruins laddered their lead in period 3 on Goals from Austin Katz,, Davis Ritter and Alex Messina.

Ari Gelfand added a couple of Apples  along with Austin Katz, Matthew Lopez and Alex Messina.

Bruin Goaltender Payton Mills stopped all 27 Denver East shots to earn the shutout.
